Basketball sensation Lebron James signed with the Coca-Cola Company to be part of the Sprite and Powerade brands. Lebron has inked around 120 million dollars in endorsement deals just in the last two months.
"I've been drinking Sprite and Powerade for a long time," James said in a statement released Thursday. "I have always admired the way Sprite and Powerade spoke to young people and athletes, and I can't wait to be a part of it."
A Coca-Cola rep said, "We're hoping that LeBron can help in the resurgence of Powerade just like he could help in the resurgence of Cleveland Cavaliers basketball." Coke is saying that Lebron is not a replacement for Kobe Bryant in the Sprite line. Kobe is still under contract and could theorectically still be used if found not guilty in his sexual assault case.
PS-Nikesoccer has awesome new ads.
PPS-I don't like the Apple Computer ads for the G5 computer. They are dumb.
