this is great!
I don't know why... but powerpoint if hilarious to me. It's become even funnier since they started animating text.
I love your circuit bending stuff.
let's see more!
I'm having trouble seeing the videos for this whole challenge--I just get sound. Any advice for the technologically-not-very-savvy?
great presentation, tim!
i still want you to make some some crystal rainbow prism phaser delays or some such. i will buy!

When I first started this competition, I thought it would be better with an American Idol style voting system. That is until someone pointed out that the person with the most friends--i.e. not me--would win. Looking at Tim's post and his last few posts, I realize that I would never have made it this far with that system. Brilliant, simply brilliant.
Tim,
I hate to be a thorn in your side, but is there any way to get this video on youtube? I'm so frustrated by not being able to witness your genius!
Or alternately, if you have any tips for how I can get my computer to view this, let me know.

Love your combination of technology and craft. Also, did you write earlier about the eagle and I missed it?
The eagle picture was just kindof an example of how something flashy in your iLife will dominate peoples' perception of you. I also just really like that picture. It was such a beautiful, powerful animal.
Tim-
Aren't there federal laws against handling eagles (dead or alive) without permission? What sort of cred do you have that you can touch these winged beasts? Or are you looking at a half million dollar fine and 20-life in jail?
There are a whole host of laws. I was actually working with the Utah Dept. of Wildlife, so I had clearance to study them. I was using a ridiculously neat technique called X-Ray Fluorescence to determine how much lead and mercury had accumulated in their bones. I also studied a lot of owls, and they were an amazing experience as well.
tim! you are so good at doing stuff! how could anyone vote you down? ...oh wait, it's because you're so good at doing stuff. life on the internet is far from fair. keep fighting the dark side.
i really thought this should have won. powerpoint is making this huge post-cooldown/backlash-post-ironic comeback that, when mixed with the bi-fi superpowers you possess (remember the world was wireless before wires existed too), seemed like you had this in the bag, so to speak.
oh well, friend, tomorrows another day. as for today, its your birthday!
