To IM or not to IM?

How archaic am I to not have an IM account? Anyone want to recommend one?
(I also talk on a rotary phone and use a dot matrix printer.)

i recommend using ichat with your mac! for pc... um... AOL Instant messenger? then you can talk to all the cool people on ichat!
google chat is so hot right now. you can also use meebo.com to log in to
aim/icq
gmail talk/jabber
yahoo
msn
all in one internet browser! (easier to hide in tabs while at work. i don't do nearly as much IM chat as i used to though.
Yeah, the gmail chat is pretty nice. Can you chat with people who don't have gmail, though? I use Trillion, which merges a bunch of them.

5:32 PM on 02/27/06I second the person who said Trillian. Just go to every messaging site and sign up for a username. You can download Trillian for free and it signs you onto all your accounts simultaneously. That way you can chat with all your friends. (Except maybe gmail - I don't think it does that.)
