crazy! i wonder who this high bidder is now! also, there is no way to make money from this contest, without becoming the ultimate blogger. im sure that if the ebay auction generates more than was already invested in this huge endevour, it will someone invest itself back in the contest. no one is trying to make a buck here.

also, you have to consider more than just the money spent on prize package, but the props, UB HQ rent, and seriously heavy people-hours spent on the project.

what if joel won the ebay auction and he or someone he bestowed it upon is this mysterious 'sg pierce'? (or someone else, i guess) the auction ended with time for joel to match and surpass the mere $3 'mannekinhead' increased the bid by.

wouldn't we have seen more action near the end? is it possible that mannekinhead, who only has 1 other ebay transaction, is someone at uhhq and made a deal with the winner (possibly joel)? this way they can ensure that the identity of the ebay winner is concealed. just a thought.
