The teddy bear is precious.

Posted by: karsh at May 10, 2005 8:23 PM

Hi, good Karsh. I am glad to see you. The teddy bear is aptly named "Teddy," and has been my closest companion for 27 years without ceasing. Every night we spend together I love him more. He smells incredible. I really went for the whole Anne Gedes concept here because I am not really a photographer/visual artist. This is what my morning literally looks like.

Posted by: ritchey at May 10, 2005 8:27 PM

If that is "what (your) morning literally looks like." I thank you for being so brave to say it, and wish I had what you have. Enjoy it. Keep snuggling teddy. I wish I had one. All I got is the real thing. Sometimes I wish she was inanimate.

Joel. You sleep with a REAL BEAR?

Posted by: ritchey at May 10, 2005 8:53 PM

This is beautiful.

Girl! You look GOOD in the morning! If this was the Ultimate Beauty Sleep contest, you'd have it for sure! (But as it is the Ultimate Blogger, you will lose. To me.)

Posted by: willow at May 10, 2005 9:13 PM

Wait.. who took the picture?

I like it a lot.

Posted by: Jona at May 10, 2005 9:18 PM

Posted by: james at May 10, 2005 9:26 PM

Posted by: sarah at May 10, 2005 10:24 PM

So wait, your morning story is that you sleep in? You look cute, though.

Posted by: Joel Conrad Bechtolt at May 10, 2005 10:28 PM

Nice try, Willow, don't bite my steeeeelooow.

Posted by: Joel Conrad Bechtolt at May 10, 2005 10:30 PM

Ritchey's entry is certainly the sexiest in today's challenge.

Posted by: Kevin at May 10, 2005 11:28 PM

Ritch is sexy, when she allows herself to be a girl. I've seen it.

Posted by: Joel Conrad Bechtolt at May 11, 2005 9:12 AM

She still hasn't said who took the picture, though. Was it a timer? Or perhaps another "teddy bear"? Let's hear it , Ritchey...

Posted by: Joel Conrad Bechtolt at May 11, 2005 9:15 AM

What do you mean, when I allow myself to be a girl? I am always a girl. ALL WOMAN ALL THE TIME.

Posted by: ritchey at May 11, 2005 9:17 AM

You say: "ALL WOMAN ALL THE TIME" I say "girl". There is a difference, Little Miss Literal. ;)

Where's the picture of emo Teddy? That is the one I wanted to see.

I mean, I like this picture, I think it should have won. But I specifically came to the Den this afternoon to see emo Teddy.

Posted by: John Johnderson at May 11, 2005 2:25 PM

I found it through the UHUBUGGG, and it's not on the UltBlog site, it's on flickr:

It is a rad photo.

Posted by: freddy at May 11, 2005 2:32 PM

UGH! Everyone has made it clear to me that I chose poorly. That "Emo Teddy" is a better photograph. This is why I say I am not a visual artist. I have no real conception of what anyone (including myself) thinks looks good when it comes to "the visual arts." This is why I don't design my own album covers or make my own clothes. So FINE. You like "Emo Teddy," I am glad. I really am. Why didn't someone (andrew) tell me to post it instead of my dumb Anne Gedes one? To quote verbatim from last night's conversation:
me: "will you help me choose which picture to put up?"
andrew: "no."
So don't come here, Andrew, telling ME that YOU want to see "Emo Teddy." You KNEW I didn't pick "Emo Teddy," and, furthermore, you did nothing to stop this from happening. I HAVE NOTHING FURTHER TO SAY.

Posted by: ritchey at May 11, 2005 2:37 PM

Ritchey, you need a blanket!

Posted by: (not contestant) james at May 11, 2005 2:53 PM

Hey Ritchey, don't get psycho. I think your picture's fine and I don't mean the pajamas. Perhaps it doesn't look pro like maybe james' (which is great) or something. But there's feeling in it ok ?

Posted by: boggart at May 11, 2005 2:57 PM

my comment above was meant to be funny and joke-mad, for those who were confused! SOLLY!

Posted by: ritchey at May 11, 2005 2:59 PM

i have the same problem with jokes and sarcasm not coming well through the internet.

Posted by: (not contestant) james at May 11, 2005 3:08 PM

My sarcasm translates perfectly through the internet. It's because I am very good at using English and "emoticons".

Posted by: DCS at May 12, 2005 11:54 AM

A writer once proposed write ironic or joke sentences between two large dots ( ● ) to compensate for the absence of the specific face and intonation you can do in speech.

Posted by: boggart at May 14, 2005 9:58 AM

Anyway, I'm sorry for not understanding your comment's tone in the first place. Litteral interpretation stroke again...

Posted by: boggart at May 14, 2005 10:05 AM

If this is what your morning looks like, then you must not have little kids. Where is the slobbery pacifier left over from the night before? Where's the dried projectile vomit? Hmmmm???
