this entry totally takes me back, Mimi. It looks great.

Nice montage. I guess the "city that never sleeps" can start to look haggard in the wee hours.

is that the F train or what?
Posted by: Adam Forkner at May 10, 2005 5:26 PM
Actually, it is the F U train! Ha!

Oh Joel, you're such a card!

I'm the Ace of spades, ask anyone.

"Lot of thanks to James, who was amazing and put all these pictures together for me - xxx"
Oh. So we can ask the other contestants do do our shit?
I had no idea. Guess I gotta pay more attention.
Posted by: Joel Conrad Bechtolt at May 10, 2005 6:28 PM
Yeah, you do have to pay more attention. Remember how you didn't know how to write a link? Remember how you don't know what an HTML tag is? Don't act like you didn't need help for yours either, dick.
Posted by: Jona at May 10, 2005 6:58 PM
Wow. My brother just called me a "dick". Remind me next time I see you, to ask "what an HTML tag is", also, remind me to punch you in your snotbox, for calling me a dick. No name calling. Be nice. How dare you! Sillypants.
Posted by: Joel Conrad Bechtolt at May 10, 2005 7:20 PM
BTW: I totally needed help. HTML is my kryptonite. Don't believe me? I will post all the iChat conversations, with me begging for help. I just thought contestants helping contestants was different than asking a brother. Who'da thought saying so would'a been the thing that would brought my normally cool as a cucumber bro, to call me a "dick". It's been a long time since I've used that kind of language, fucker.
Posted by: Joel Conrad Bechtolt at May 10, 2005 7:25 PM
Love it, Mimi. Beautiful job.
Posted by: freddy at May 10, 2005 7:33 PM
Actually, contestant helping contestant would be more acceptable than producer (in this case producer/brother) helping contestant, at least I would think.

Ah, I saw much of the subway when when I visited NYC last year. Good stuff, Mimi. Yours is the only picture I've seen with a homeless person in it (lord knows I see my share of them when I get up in the AM to get to work).

East 23rd, coming home from work late one night/morning - it all gets so tangled up. It is indeed the F train, and the exit to the J on Marcy Avenue.
Posted by: mimi at May 10, 2005 9:16 PM
know it well
used to work at the mason building on 23rd
you should peek into it sometime
its fucked-up weird old men in suits beautiful
Posted by: Adam Forkner at May 10, 2005 11:44 PM
steve, i've been biting my tongue, but it seems weird that producer's brother and exgirlfriend are in the contest at all... since you brought it up
but personally, I don't mind at all. I've been enjoying the show. at first I really disliked Joel but since no one else seems to like him either (his own brother calling him a dick rules!) now I'm starting to actually feel for the prick.
but then i was the only one who enjoyed Pucks' presence on the SF real world.
Posted by: (not contestant) james at May 11, 2005 2:40 PM
James, yeah, right? It's totally weird that I know two of the contestants intimately. I wasn't part of the casting process because I was out of town and I totally feel like I missed one of the best parts of this project. When I left Joel was just really starting to heat up the comments and I thought for sure that he wouldn't get in... I was wrong. As far as Ritchey goes, I totally thought she would get in since she is one of the best writers that I've ever met. She deserves it.
I liked Puck too! No one else.. just you and me, guy.
Posted by: Jona at May 11, 2005 3:36 PM
i think i met puck once at a party in san francisco. i hung out with other members of the real world sf and they were kinda boring, but i think i saw puck throw a full beer at a band at a show.
Posted by: (not contestant) james at May 11, 2005 3:45 PM
Oh Jona. Such a nice li'l dude.
Posted by: ritchey at May 11, 2005 4:33 PM
actually, it was the 6th and J. I always say F instead of 6th. But you know what I mean.
Posted by: mimi at May 11, 2005 10:49 PM
Excellent montage. I love your take on the concept. I was looking for something literal, but exceptional. I think this did it for me...

Thanks for the kind words.
