Ya, I realized you meant sale after posting. I remembered you saying long ago that they might rent the place.
Not sure if we'd buy without a private yard for doglet, especially since I want a doglet friend for her. I want a little plot on which to build a tiny house-shaped house.
arijkem and mike: I will buy it for you if you sign a 2-3 yr lease (negotiable). $1450 - 1600/mo (also negotiable, depending on taxes and closing costs)
Ok, actually, regardless of whether or not arijkem and mike want to get in on this fabulous deal - I want more details. Preferably before it lists. Alex, can you deliver?
I feel like it's weirdly unfair for a 1bdrm condo owner (who doesn't really own any property) to pay $4k while an actual home owner pays less than half that, just because the condo is next to Mississippi? How does this shit even work?
@arijkem That zone is super crappy tho, unless you want to hang out at Skinn strip club a lot and jump on the bleakest trampoline in Portland (tried to grab a pic from street maps, but the image is pre-trampoline).
Maybe crappy, but it's REALLY close to not-crappy. That house is weirdly cheap. I would do a drive-by...I think a lot depends on the crappiness of the neighbors and immediately-surrounding area.
MZ, how you liking home ownership!? Did you have a house warming without inviting me? (RUDE)
Nope, no house-warming because it's so far from being a real house. So in that respect, home ownership is kind of depressing, because I feel like a failure.
You can drop by any time to see a bunch of boxes and makeshift drapes.
For a one bedroom condo! Apparently their realtor thinks they'll get that much, because most of the stock in this hood is new condos rather than old nice wooden places like ours. It's crazy.
When MZ started looking, I took him on a clandestine peek around the exterior of a house across the street that I knew would list soon. I estimated $360-$380k asking. Dude got $452k. I find that pretty depressing, even though I know it's good for me as a homeowner. Still cannot believe that house sold for $452k.
How much nicer than yours Alex?! Yours is super nice, but for a 1 bd condo, 309 seems crazy to me. But my girlfriend bought a weird, extremely small house far out in Seattle for $450K, so I guess it could get a lot worse around here.

Who?
Who?
Who?
That includes water, sewer, garbage, and exterior/common area building work. Like cleaning the roof and stuff.

100% serious.
You can help me start building my empire!
I don't like the kitchen remodel, but we both liked this house:

So cheap!
Seems too small for 4 bedrooms, but could just knock out a wall and make it three!
