  • Tomorrow we are going to a Mariners game (they play baseball).
Saturday is trying to find some whales in these here islands as a cool anniversary activity!
  • I am in Salt Lake City now! Compared to Reno, it's soooo elegant.
Currently eating a bagel and using the free wifi at the SLC airport Starboo.

About to rent a car and drive to touch the salty lake.

Tomorrow I will do my work event thing, and take a bunch of stupid flights that put me home AFTER the YU event. Cool!

Sunday I have no plans, and would like to get breakfast or take a walk or anything with people I like in Portland, to cleanse myself of travel vibes.
  • Oh man, Alex- that hike sounds pretty great. I might tm u!
  • Oh yeah, please feel free (that goes for anybody else who wants to hike, too). We are meeting at Sasha's house at 11am on Sunday.
  • Might join you, not sure of plans yet, but regardless, L@@K for morels! It's about the right time and the sunlight should activate them after this rain.

I am watching a hummingbird drinking rainwater ^_^

Then it was standing on a branch with its head pointed up
    It looked like this

    O
  • Ok, we're currently at about 8 people so we'll need a third car+driver if additional homies want to hike!
  • just deep cleaned my house and am doing a million loads of laundry and listening to depeche mode and wearing shorts

  • @YoursTruly STOP PROCRASTINATING AND GRADE THOSE F@&%ING PAPERS!
  • i know!!!!! I'm going to right now
  • the hummingburd!
  • You should have seen it when it was shaking its feathers in the rain.

Just imagine it getting popped in the head with a hail stone, and getting walleyed. Or in the cartoon version, tiny hummingbirds start flying around its head.
  • You guys I finished the papers
  • I don't believe you.
  • Seattle on the homestead. Mow the other half of the lawn. Help some friend's projects. Maybe go see Restless City this afternoon, maybe take the tot to a grown-up birthday party, maybe to a poetry show at Hollow Earth.

Maybe get the writing work done that needs to be written instead of all the fun, effortless writing that doesn't have to be written right now.

    Supermoon!
  • I ran that marathon. I didn't barf or shit my pants. I did see someone barf though.
  • GOOD JOB!!!!!!!!!!!

Friday night I won a poker game
Saturday I went to farmers market where my parents bought me 2 pounds of rad fucking hazelnuts and walnuts
Saturday night I went to Mahmoud Ahmed
Sunday all day I hung out with Fudge Elvrum and Jason Wall in the park
Now I'm gonna go to the co-op and get more bulk laundry soap
  • relaxed
    accomplished shit
    what more can i want
  • None of the maybes but, as you know, did make to Matt's Movie. And yes on yard work. Maybes today?
  • Talked my way into an earlier flight and thus, Mahmoud Ahmed!
    I did so much dancin'.

Then, two straight days of feeling awful migrainey business. I blame it on Reno.
  • I was sincerely excited when I saw owls walk through the door. It was like a moment out of a movie. Like when the mom comes home in Home Alone, and she's like "Kevin?" and you're like "EVERYTHING IS GONNA BE OK!"

    Not exaggerating.
  • Yeah! Me too! "OH HER?!????"
  • Did she have that nice pony tail
  • HAHAHAHA!

    It was a cool surprise!

Okay, enough talk about LAST weekend. This thread is about NEXT weekend.

I'm going to donate my time to a huge multinational corporation and work on ways they can monetize solutions to problems that don't exist yet. No joke, that's my Saturday.

Then Sunday I'm going to get my friends to donate time to my corporation to work on ways to create problems for anyone who wants to date me by documenting any potential relationship and letting people vote on it. WHAT COULD GO WRONG!?!?

And then on Monday I have to get up early and go to Hawaii.

    I rented a car!

    Where should I go???

Does anyone know a cheap and cheerful spot on the coast or inland?
  • The Cape Lookout hike is very nice.

    Great suggestion, MZ!

Of all the Oregon beauty spots, I am most familiar with Mr. Lookout.

I think I trolled all possible last-minute openings for yurts and cabins in the whole state...
So might just take some day trips.

    Ideas
    - Coastal thrifting adventure
    - Go up to Washington adventure
    - Ape caves adventure
    - Drive to the desert adventure

I wish I had Steve as an app. The app would know everything about the kind of trip I should make.
  • I blame Jona & Claire. THEY STOLE STEVE! Now I hate them.
  • But you're doing such a good job on the front page!
  • Manzanita.
  • I think I decided to go to John Day Fossil Beds, where the past comes alive!!!!
