Huzzah!
Do some web projects I've had no time to do yet.
Repot a plant I got for work.
Order a fancy pie from the fancy pie place.
Oh, also, I'm going to run a marathon on Sunday.
MARATHON
= they go together like cinnamon and vinegar! HUZZAH AND GOOD LUCK
RCH did you move into your wee hut? What's it like??
The lighting design (skylights for day, recessed lighting and sconces at night)
The heat lamp in the bathroom
The new, snug-fitting windows
The nice owners and on-site property manager
The way the floor slopes so if you spill, it drips west
The concrete floor
The way Ikea laminate feels (so satiny smooth)
The way I can see but not hear David saying hello through the glass door when i come home
The patio door, ponderously heavy, fitting snugly in its frame as against gale-force winds
The way (I hear) the wall heater warms the house in minutes
Things I am excited about (interior design list)
My red office... the walls covered in red paper "bricks", red desk, red chair, red smaller table... my red saw hanging from the ceiling by a red chain ("The Sword Of Damocles," to remind me that every moment is a miracle)
Taking inspiration from retail design to make up for a lack of a closet (all my clothes will be hang on a metal grid on the longest wall)
Two ceiling-to-floor-length James Deans on either side of a full-length mirror, both pointing at the mirror with wonderful wry looks
Coming up with my filing solution for my collection of paper goods (I am a graphic design nerd): A full-service, 5-drawer dresser
I'm about to go spend a Macy's gift card at Lloyd Center!
I want to watch a movie, drink hot chocolate, and visit RB in her hut.
Last night I heard what sounded like football coming from the High School.
Today I went to the farmer's market and later gave my friend birthday things by the water, she was doing an outdoor presentation with tanks full of sea animals (starfish, sea cucumber, sea pen, scallops, sea urchins, crabs and others).
Now I am going to re-heat yesterday's soup, drink fake coffee and get back to work.
I drank some extremely strong coffee that Adam named "Jazz Sauce" and cooked a really great breakfast for us: eggs with tomato, basil, parmesan, and chickn sausage, and an everything bagel toast.
Then I felt amazing and wrote many important emails.
Then I went to the mall and drank Orange Julius with a buddy, and purchased a blender.
I came home to a pretty clean little house (thanks Alan) and a funny cat, and a nice rainy evening. We just made the bed, and I'm making Annie's macaroni.
Then, a movie!
I did every thing I wanted to except go see Rebecca, but there's still tomorrow. BB, I'm coming for you......
I plan on making my husband use it.
It will look so good in his mouth!
It maybe could even be a little bit jazzier, frankly.
I'm eating a bagel and an apple, drinking this jazz sauce, about to get to work on my work for the day. Got to read some stuff about philosophy of music, got to read Plato and about Plato, then I'll be done!
Rainy sunday vibes, good for working.
In Australia you can get it as a cappuccino and it's incredible!
I need to perfect my technique.
It's sort of like Inka, but a little more watery and spicier?
Too much fancy beer.
Forgot to order the pie.
Other stuff I forgot about.
Did a marathon. 3 minutes faster than my goal. Bam.
Fastest kid in town!
Now Portland in 3 weeks. I can't imagine running another one right now.
You are running the Portland marathon in 3 weeks?
Ever thought of getting into super marathons?
It seems like you are a natural. (and work hard at it)
I've thought about them. I don't think I'm ready for a 50 or 100 miles yet. That is hard for me to imagine doing. I'm not really pro.
(A more athletic way to title you)
The everlasting Monday of the soul.
Matthew, that is badass. You finished in such a good place/rank!! You are fast!
I too can not imagine running 100 miles. The most I've done is 10 and it was pretty brutal/took like 3 hours
