This person often says the sweetest things to me in the most needed situations.
He tends to visit only once a year but one time he called us out of the blue and came over to spend the night and we were so EXCITED!
It was like a favorite cousin coming to town to see us.
Like the cool older cousin who knows about all the cool shit happening and will share it with you and then you feel a little cooler yourself.

It is a great honor to have Stevie P. as a life-long buddy. He's always there in time of need. Takes one to the airport 4,000 times without a grumble. Will help a person move. Will take you to a weird truck stop and share fries in the middle of the night and dispense wisdom, or an ear. Will always put on your favorite song. Will order off-menu like a baller. Will charm an old lady right in front of you. Nice to parents. Puts the letter "r" in the best places for comedic effect. So fucking tight on a road-trip. Remembers actors' names so you never have to. Usually down for whatever. Encyclopedia of nature. A personal fashion style unlike any of his contemporaries on this Earth. Runs a tight ship of a schedule. Makes his own soda and shares it.

Steve has quietly been developing a wonderful way with the photographic image. He has a taste for the big view, and he can pack so much into a picture while at the same time expressing absolute unity. I think he looks for the raw truth and when he sees it, he shows that it is beautiful. The totality of the image expresses an acceptance of the wild ways of the world.
