06:40 PM : Portland Traffic and Transportation Class @ PSU
Education Flyered by kmikeym
Take the Portland Traffic and Transportation Class!
When: Thursday evenings, 6:40-8:40pm, September 27-December 6, 2007.
It's a once-weekly lecture course on how transportation decisions are made in Portland. Subjects cover transportation history, policy, operations and funding.
And it's FREE to interested citizens! It's designed to help YOU advocate about transportation issues you care about. It was started by Earl Blumenauer when he was on the City Council. I loved this class, and I suppose it even eventually led me to my current career.
Work with decision and policy-makers, planners, scholars and engineers to better understand how to get your neighborhood transportation project going.
This interactive Portland State University class is open to all Portland citizens and full scholarships are available to qualified applicants.
The class will take place at PSU's downtown campus, Thursday evenings, 6:40 - 8:40, beginning September 27th
Led by Rick Gustafson, transportation planning consultant and former Metro executive officer.

Portland's experimental music/sound scene has a new home. Rererato Artspace on NE 42nd and Sumner is proud to announce an ongoing series of events dedicated to exploring sounds and music of non-traditional artists and auditory sorcerers. Some of these events may also contain visual components, including costumes, light shows, sets, props, and things you've never even dreamed of. Others may strip down to the bare essentials of audio exploration. Every show is bound to be different from the next. Tickets are $4 and shows start at 7pm.
