“You may have heard that in order to market your business, you need a blog, a Twitter account, and a Facebook page. But what are you actually supposed to DO with all these marketing outlets, and how in the world do you find the time to keep up with them all?”
In this workshop, Diane will examine blogging, Twitter, and Facebook as storytelling tools, boiling down a business down to its story elements, and then translating that story into interesting posts that garner attention. She will also look at some helpful strategies for getting plenty of social marketing done without spending an exorbitant amount of time on the computer.
Register for the workshop and learn more on the event page.
Diane Gilleland is deeply interested in the point where creative work, the internet, and small businesses intersect. Her blog, CraftyPod.com, began in 2005 on a whim and has since grown an international following of over 50,000 visitors monthly. She also produces audio and video podcasts, publishes ebooks, and teaches online classes—and most recently, she became the Editor-in-Chief of Craft.
About the Professional Development Workshops
Some of the hardest things for creative people to develop are the business skills needed to market and sell their creations successfully. Our Saturday morning workshops cover a wide range of topics to benefit creative minds, with local experts as instructors and virtually no barrier to entry. Learn how to photograph your work, find out the best uses for social media, adopt basic financial practices and much more. With intimate learning environments, heavy Q&A sessions and handouts, you can apply topics to your personal needs.
