Portland photographer LeAnne Hitchcock will talk about her artistic path and methods of art making. An academically trained artist, Hitchcock’s photography resonates with art historical references and allusions to cinema, and seeks to be philosophically evocative.

I will show samples of work from the past several years and talk about what led me to these methods of art making.

As the work is deeply seated in the history of art and photography I will also talk about the narrative language of photography and its use in my images.

LeAnne Hitchcock’s talk is open to the public and is part of the Photography Council’s monthly “Brown Bag Lunch Series”, a series of informal presentations by Northwest photography luminaries, the 3rd Wednesday of every month from Noon – 1 p.m. at the Portland Art Museum.
