Does anyone here remember the 1968 Playboy interview with Clarke and Kubrick re “2001”? I’m looking for Clarke’s visionary prediction about “biological intelligence progressing to artificial intelligence, and then to pure intelligence without form” or something like that. Truly epic. Did you read the two parter interview with Harlan Ellison in the Onion AV club? He's more of a brass tacks man than Clarke, fascinating stuff either way. Good luck with your quest.

It’s an incredibly long and meandering interview full of serious revelations about the weirdness of Clarke, as well as really forthright stuff about sex and how appropriate it is that a movie star (Reagan) should be president of the United States. I should scan it!
