The New York Times Online has long needed to play some catch-up with the Washington Post in the photo department. The new weekly Pictures of the Times (I'm a sucker for how "Times" refers to the paper and the times in which we live) section goes a long way, with large-enough photos, and audio commentary from the paper's photo editors on each shot. The Post's Camera Works section, however, is still much larger, updated daily as well as weekly, and includes van Riper's photo column.
Shanghai Tunnel, Saturday night. A black guy comes up to the bar, orders gin & pineapple. Bartender says, "That's Snoop's drink." Guy: "Uh." Bartender feels she was perhaps inadvertently racist. "It's my job to know these things. Björk drinks gin & cranberry." Me: "She hasn't been in here, has she?" Bartender: "No." Damn.
All this time I didn't have coffee in the house I left the machine alone.
It just sat there, not making coffee. I didn't realize I hadn't cleaned it
before that, however. So there was coffee in the filter which had grown
moldy.
I cleaned all the parts real well. Then I made coffee. But it tasted
vaguely moldy and I drank most of a cup before I gave up on it. Now I feel
sort of funny in my stomach.
I'm putting pots of water through the machine without coffee. I can't
think of what else to do to it. I hope that helps. I also hope I don't get
pukey from drinking mold.
I drank my right contact. I don't remember how it tasted. Eye-ish?
