Apples: I have this kids’ book from the 60s that my mom used to have in her 2nd grade classroom library called Mr Apple’s Family. So Mr Apple and Mrs Apple have a whole fleet of kids, and they name them all after apples! Jonathan and Delicious and MacIntosh and SNOW. Then they move from the big city to an apple orchard in the country, where they paint the house apple colors and get a goat which they ALSO name after an apple, Nonesuch. SO GREAT.

Also, I maintain that the best apple is a freshly picked Winesap eaten outside in the cold at the cider mill.
