The CARTUNE XPREZ caravan is in Riga, Latvia tonight kicking off our 2009 tour: DARK VOYAGE. I am floating across Europe thru November 29 presenting our newest animated program…. incarnations of the human shadow projected with a backdrop of inflatable crystals. This is a rare opportunity to see videos by emerging artists as well as internationally known artists whose collective resume includes collaborations with Frank Zappa and major exhibitions at the Whitney Biennial, the MOMA in New York, the Sundance Film Festival, and many other institutions across the world. In addition, I am taking Hooliganship on a solo voyage for the first time, doing a live performance of some trashy cartoon theater.

In total, this dark voyage features work by Shana Moulton, Takeshi Murata, Martha Colburn, Bruce Bickford, Jacob Ciocci, Amy Lockhart, Taras Hrabowsky, Yoshi Sodeoka, Francine Spiegel, Barry Doupe, Adrian Freeman, Hooliganship and Jeff Kriksciun.
