Some sign portraits I painted for the Portland Trail Blazers through my nine to five employer: Custom Wood Signs. I finally finished the last of ten yesterday. They wanted a sign for each of their Hall of Famers to be displayed somewhere in the Rose Garden Arena. (Top to bottom) Clyde Drexler, Bill Walton, Neil Johnston, and Dr. Jack Ramsey. (Not shown) Lenny Wilkins and Drazen Petrovich.
These were designed by my boss, Don Sorber, gilded by Eric Hagen, and built by Sean Bennet.

Other than a countless many pet portraits, these signs were the most fun for me to paint in almost seven years in the sign painting business. The only annoying thing about this project was that I had to paint (as near to exact as possible) duplicate signs of all four living players so they could be presented to them personally. Though it would seem that the signs could only become easier to figure out after the first try, Dr.Jack's likeness was the only one to improve significantly the second time around.
