A good friend and I once tried to sit down and calculate the length of our life's cigarette. The formula we used went as follows: 2" X quantity per day X 365 X years spent smoking.
We reasoned that a pack and a half a day smoker for fifteen years has generally smoked a cumulative butt measuring 27,067 ft in length... Or roughly a 5.5 mile long cigarette. Coincidentally, that was the exact distance between our respective boyhood homes.
