The extremely difficult Cunningham solos were stunning, and having his disclosure about Cunningham’s philosophies about movement made them even more potent and riveting. The Trisha Brown piece took my breath away as well. What a privilege to see that dance history performed live by him. When he performed the Jerome Bel (Police) solo, my skin burned with suspense and emotion welled in my throat as his soulful eyes pored over the audience. Everything about this magnificent man was rather angelic, oui? He was ethereal.
