As you probably read.
The only moment when the show momentarily lost its footing was when it briefly tried to be theatrical, the dancers wearing high heels and dresses and the two leaders singing a pop song duet while holding balloons at the front of the stage.
I think this was a stylistic choice, and like the environment of this show was too well-controlled for them to just let us down in this way. The audience got a much-needed breather, as well as a bit of a jab at saccharine songs. That could just be me, though.
