I knew Antony would be a huge international star from the first time I saw The Johnsons in New York. After the first, I never missed a performance until I moved to L.A.. I was there the night Laurie Anderson & Lou Reed first heard “Candy Says”. I can’t wait to see the performance with the LA Philharmonic.

Nico Muhly pulled out of the project after we had published the catalogues and was replaced by Jim Holmes who had visa problems. At the last minute Gregory Vajda stepped in. He flew to NY to work with Antony the weekend before the performance. It was a tremendously rewarding project for all involved. we are grateful to the Oregon Symphony for being such great collaborators.
