I wish I’d had enough forethought to scurry down there and join them. And, I’d be very interested to hear more about his perfomance from those who could see and hear clearly.

but, we’re all gonna have different experiences based on our choices, informed and uninformed, factual or not, and that’s a big part of this whole thing. i like that eckard had a completely different end for me then he did for others, just as those who stayed may be glad that there was a party waiting for them when they got to it.

At one point, Eckard flipped on an amplifier of some sort, and you could hear every word as clearly as if he was standing next to you. By this time, the drumline was long gone—you could hear them playing down on street level. If you left with the band (which 70% of the crowd did), you missed the meat of the performance. That’s fact.

and i don’t think the drumline got bored, i think they started after his last line.
and obviously tba takes its parties just as seriously as it takes the art.

Once the band (and you) decided that they were bored and left, Eckard came closer, amplified his speech, and everyone who was still there could hear every word he said. Until, of course, the drumline got bored again and started playing on the east side. Then we had to strain to make out the art. But you apparently wouldn’t know that, because you were more interested in “getting the party started” than in looking at art.
