That's right! I will post the hilarious/excruciating details of my final interview later when I'm not so wound up, but the long and short of it is I GOT THE JOB!!! The really really awesome job teaching 1st grade at a wonderful school in a completely rad district! IT HAPPENED!! IT'S REAL!!!

Wheeeeee! Congratulations!
Head Start didn't have anything for me. They were totally gracious and kind, but they couldn't give me any indication that there would be a position opening up until at least mid-end of June. I went to visit and I wasn't looking for a guarantee, but hoping for at least a hint of hope. Nothing doing. It was a bad lead, I guess. Bummer, for sure, but there will be other chances. The school where I got hired will help me become a great teacher, and I'll take those skills to higher needs kids eventually. In the end it was just way too good to turn down. Not without some degree of regret, tho.
