Fun summer plans don’t always need to be made ahead of time. I make sure to BBQ, camp at least once, swim in the ocean, see an outdoor concert and take a road trip, oh and see fireworks since my birthday falls on July 4th. As long as I can check them off in September, I’m all set.
Sorry to hear your trip to NY was cancelled. Don’t let that stop you, plan another trip!

fake sick? maybe not.
