my confession is that i am the worlds #2 bottle rocket fan. i am not talking wes anderson, or his films; i am talking two words: bottle. rocket.
the #1 fan is, of course, my friend ed, who introduced me to the movie after having watched it himself about 30 times before anyone remotely resembling a hipster had ever heard of it.
how deep is our love? we went to every night of its showing at laurelhurst several years ago. with tape on our noses. (we couldnt find *yellow* jumpsuits, and to this day still keep an eye out for them.) we spend many a summer “ca-cawing” for each other from our bikes as we ride by each others houses. we were *this* closes to completing an on-stage re-enactment in front of a projection, cleverly (not) titled “bottle rocket picture show”.
the list goes on and on.
so, needless to say, you shine brightly in my eyes right now.
