Bunnette Dreams Dashed

I got the bad news on Friday: I won't be a Bunnette after all. Despite the fact that the competition seemed to be about finding the most awesome ladies to represent on the 4th, I got the word that Nathan's is going with professional models instead. I have a feeling the competition didn't go as planned (as of now there are only five videos posted) and the sponsor went a different route. While I'm sure the professional models will be hott, and adequate card flippers, there's no way they want to don that sparkly vest more than I do. I mean, my big goal was to count some hot dogs and I got de-nied. I can't say it doesn't hurt a little. The good news is that I've been promised VIP status, whatever that means. I think I get to be very close to the stage. Which could be a good thing for getting in on the action and taking some sweet pics, but I'll certainly be in what Crazy Legs refers to as the "spray zone." We'll just see. Maybe they rigged some floating sky boxes with air conditioning and champagne. Now that would be VIP. Nathan's? You listening? Some delicious pre-game snacks would be nice, too.
I'm rushing around like crazy trying to get ready for the New York trip. I fly out at 1 am on Tuesday morning, so I'll be running around on the 3rd with an awesome four hours of airplane sleep. If anyone tries to feed me alcohol I might just pass out right into the glass. Not that you shouldn't try to feed me alcohol. I'm just saying there's a good possibility you'll have to carry my sleepy ass home.
J discovered a mystery mushroom in our backyard. Any mycologists out there?
It looks like a morel, but it could be a false morel so don't eat it!

That is a disgrace.It reminds me of when i got cut from the high school baseball team in 1976 I havent gotten over it since then. Im not kidding either. If anyone deserves to be a bunnette , its you. If they pick danielle then we know the damn thing is rigged.

I second Sally's comment. Liz, in my heart, you are the ONLY Bunnette. I'm so pissed at those damn Nathan's/Shea's I could spit!
Also, you should probably lick the mushroom...it might be cool.

i am super sad you won't get to be a bunnette! wtf man! but i am looking forward to your reports from the spray zone.
in other thoughts, that mushroom scared the holy hell out of me. like, really, gave me the willies. please don't eat it. or look directly at it.

Totally. I'm cutting out a construction paper vest and gluing sequins on it RIGHT NOW! I'll be the crazy girl in the back of the VIP section; you'll be sure to spot me.
And just for the record, we are as far as humanly possible from eating that nasty looking mushroom, which J likens to a "diseased penis."

You guys put waaaaay to much into that video, and deserve serious VIP treatment for your efforts. Who dare treat the commisioner of Fantasy Eating this way????
Maybe they'll have some HotDog Flavored Martini's in the skybox???? (made from Soy of course)

grrrrrrrr. . . . we worked really hard on that video! I feel robbed! If they are not going to honor the contest, why did they have the contest in the first place! I think it is their own damn fault for not advertising it better and getting more entries- if they only got five videos, then they should have those five girls be bunnettes (and hire models for the rest). Oh, now I'm pissed. . .

You people (maybe i used the wrong words) should let your feelings be known. I try not to hold anything in. If i am pissed i let people know about it. As a kid i got in a heep of trouble saying the first thing that came to my mind though i didnt know what i was talking about . Zoe, the eaters stick up for noone but themselves. In other words they got your back like i got my ass. Kapeesh? They want me to download my videos and stuff on MLE.com. What would i get out of it? Actually nothing but to show you what a sport i am i would still put my material on their site if their damn login page worked. Gimme a break . I am sure Liz will have plenty to say on her update

Spray zone? I could have used some. There were certain people next to me that stunk like you wouldnt believe.From mouth to toe. As far as sweet pics i would have had a much better view watching at home. Unless i miraculously qualify which will never happen, i highly doubt you will ever see my "beautifulbehind" at Coney ever again.
