Feb Challenge: Games!
Real Girl has put this challenge on the table for February: "Game night. Only on your blog. Create a game a week that we can all virtually play through comments on your blog."
Initially, I had zero ideas for this. But then I had some flash of inspiration from a memory of one of my favorite magazine games as a kid: the back of the Highlights (?) where there were close up pics of everyday objects, which were rendered mysterious by lack of context. So here is your game: name these objects!
Also, it is cold here. And sometimes our heater in the car doesn't turn on and one person has to scrape the INSIDE windows of the car while the other is driving because the meager heat our bodies are producing is enough to condense and then FREEZE on the glass. In related news, I hate winter.

Yay, Liz, FUN! I knew you'd think of somethin' good. B looks like those interlocking salt and pepper shakers (are they from MoMA?). E looks like a cotton pad for makeup removal and stuff. A looks like candy, but that's probably too easy. And F seems like maybe a bracelet or necklace?
a. sweetarts
b. salt & pepper shakers
c. nectarine in a bag
d. monopoly box
e. mattress
f. necklace
g. rope licorice
I think number one is bathroom candy - aka tums.
2 - salt and pepper shakers...3 - I want to say some sort of fish, but you don't eat fish... 4. - Is it the top of a playing card or domino? 5 - I know I've seen that before...the top of q-tips? 6 - gotta be a necklace or something and 6 - I agree with the rope licorice. :)How did I do?
You're all close, but missing a couple!
a. Rolaids
b. hugging salt and pepper
c. cough drop
d. domino
e. paper plate
f. necklace
g. cat toy?
C looks like wrapped up tomatoes. G is the most foreign to me! It could be red bangle bracelets, but I've already guessed jewelry for F. Hmmm. Too thin to be a bike lock? To me, it looks too slick and well-shaped to be red licorice.
It's weird, but I'm guessing that C is a bar of soap in a baggie. (Doesn't that sound dirty?) I'm guessing G is telephone/computer cords.
I love games! Good challenge, RealGirl!
I think everyone has guessed my guesses....except that I think that E is like a Clearasil wipe type thing and I think G is a telephone cord or headphones cord thingey.
When you gonna tell us the answers, Liz? I'm dying! Like I said, I LOVE games!
E is like one of those new, fancy cotton ball substitues. A textured cotton pad. You know what I mean?
isn't a) smarties?
