The New York Times weighs in on "The Cat in the Hat" movie:

"Hollywood has turned Dr. Seuss' whimsical story into a vulgar, uninspired lump of poisoned eye candy."

I am only sorry the reviewer had to actually watch the movie in order to write the review.
