Fighting Bad Browsers
Web designers hate Internet Explorer, and yet, they are forced to make so many compromises in order to support them. Many times this means rewriting some aspect of a design to support IE, and there are ways to detect which browser is being used and then load a specific style sheet (like this javascript).
Clearly for large commercial projects you have to support IE because of the large number of people using that browser. But for personal blogs and things that are mac-specific or not commercial, why not just sabotage the experience for IE people and link to Firefox?
I'm not proposing anything as horrible as goatse, but more like some really annoying flashing gifs. The kind that might induce seizures or something. For example, maybe this blog would look more like Video Sonic Labs.
Perhaps we can start this little revolution right here on UrbanHonking?
