Crippled

UrbanHonking is being held together with chewing gum and graham crackers. We've got three blogs migrated to the new server, a split blog roll, a broken blog roll, attacks by spam bots, and everything is just being barely maintained.

The current theory on the blogroll is we're getting slammed by searches. They seem to be almost entirely spam-bot driven. I can seem them coming in on the Activity Log and that is hitting the CGI scripts which is capping out the "memory limit of our procwatch program."

I removed search field from Co-Branded and Overarching and then reset the UrHo Activity Log, and we'll see if that has any effect in the next few days as those seem to be the blogs getting hit the most.

We have a contact of someone who might be able to help us with the server migration, but I haven't made him login info yet... and of course I turned comments off on my blog because I'm getting comment spam by the minute.

*sigh*

In spite of this, pretty excited about the coming year.
