Music: White Fang
Full Disclosure: I have terrible taste in music. Before I moved to Portland I had a collection of CDs that came to be referred to as my "Book of Shame". It was full of soundtracks and top 40 mixed with the odd and unlistenable (whale songs and train recordings for example). I am routinely (and correctly) ridiculed for being a fan of George Michael and Alanis Morrisette. But who can account for taste? I don't think because I like some terrible music it means I can't also like good music.
With that in mind, I want to share some a song with you. It's by White Fang. I snagged a bunch of MP3s from their Virb page, but it looks they don't have the same ones up there anymore... Well, here is Jack O' Lantern, which is one that I really like:
I don't really know much about White Fang, I think some of them play on the Marriage Records Futsal Team, but don't hold that against them. :)
The Mercury said, "Local youngster Eric Wolfgang plays weird, catchy, experimental folk as White Fang. But before the Fang, dude was in a ton of high schooly bands."
They have some CDRs for sale via Marriage Records. And they did a track for Grown Zone.
