UHX is back!

Curt fixed UHX. It's not no longer on the DreamHost server, and it's working fine.

Progress in returning UrHo to normal is slow because we still do not know the problem and DreamHost support makes it hard to drill down to the real issue. I feel like they operate support like a call center... just process the request and be done. There is no one who seems to be really trying to help us figure out the ongoing issue.

In fact, the latest response was basically, "Everything seems fine from this end."

It's difficult to trouble-shoot MT because we keep getting the error that the server stopped responding. But I feel like we are making progress. We bough a new hard drive we are sending to Curt who will do routine backups of UrHo. We've been a little lax about that and with things not working and tinkering under the hood, it seems like a backup is a good idea.

You'll notice that the URL for UHX is not urbanhonking.com. We set up an account with media temple with the idea we will move to them, as DreamHost just can't seem to handle UrHo. The plan is to stabilize things until the TBA and UB3 are over, then work on a migration to Media Temple and the new version of Movable Type, which is RADICALLY different and everyone will initially hate. :)
