no that is jesse durost...the reed lecture was past capacity so we walked to delta and slammed 40z.
yes-that is brisa who is in that band. i ran into her and then we went and crashed a dinner epic.
well. actually- i am sensitive to the fact the majority of the people i am photographing are part of the "in crowd" or half indy stars... but whatever. i don't seek people out each day hoping to project an image of my self through their notoriety and or accomplishments. i understand that some might interpret my recent portraits as the type of fronting/social climbing some loser artschool grad look-in for ins might skeam up .....but again what-ever. because i know my motives are honest, and i love doing what i do. these are the FEELINGS i think about projecting through my creativity each morning/evening/night.
i photograph the environments i encounter via drinking coffee at stumptowns, 1/2&1/2, valentines... and the meetings/adventures i make/take with my friends.
this "scene" is the environment i find my self in at 22years-portland oregon...lunar calendar 2006.
so im gonna document those pretty eyes drenched nostalgic like there is no tomorrow...
and people can interpret that however they wish...

thank you andrew weiss?
yeah i think it is you because you used to always glorify how niche stabbed a horse the day he went insane.

daniel, please know that i was just flipping you shit and in no way think you are "that dude." i can relate to your feelings around scenes and art and all this. it's really just people and it's nice to hear someone say that.
these last couple posts are exciting. your new camera is kick ass!

Be real. recognize what it is. yes, they are friends but they are more than thay. there is nothing wrong with knowing it is so.. .and it is more authentic to admit and to know than to deny.
what is so wrong to be high and be with the high? where does a glorification of no aims, no goals and no accomplishment come from? it's a pose in itself.

hot horse is olympia washington's version of the ultimate snacks club which was a short lived phenomena of the early aughts, and even then it is a combination of blue painters tape and sharpie marker on puget street, east side olympia.
but nietsche and the horse stabbing, now that IS a hot horse.
let's wax nostalgic through fuzzy meets clear headed meets drowsy meets sore muscles meets calypso climbing meets actualizing. they're always unkind, yours.

nice. drawing on rolling papers is a really good idea. you should draw on whole packs of papers, and sell them... or be totally nice and give them away. or trade them for food and sexual favors.
