Also the car Leon got into in the final scene, whos car was that? It was a police car but he pulled someone out of the drivers seat so it wasnt his? Been really bugging me!

True, after seeing it once, I immediately labeled it a “B” movie with dialogue written at a level suitable for 15-year-old consumption.

However I am now convinced that this will be a cult classic that will last forever. The concept is so cool. The old people all look 25. The use of green on walls both interior and outside was really pleasing to the eye.

The music was good. The cars were cool.

Cillian Murphy.

Amanda Seyfried’s eyes and wig.

I love “In Time”

I totally forgot about the car crash, but you raise an issue that really bugged me, which was a real loose use of time itself. Like the mom running for 2 hours apparently? The time on the arms never seemed to match the actual living time in the film. IT WAS SO CRAZY

I don’t know if that was a toy car, a well made claymation or the worst CGI since Jar Jar Binx, but what was going on! It was like someone clipped a part of a different movie right into that scene. I really thought something was wrong, until I finished the movie and realized it fit right into the rest of the crap of the movie. And I swear their arms said two hours when they started driving, at the dead of night, and then they wake up at about 9:00 am driving with only 5 min left. WHAT?!?! Worst CGI in this decade.

I felt bad talking shit about it so didn’t participate too much, but boy was it shitty. Andrew Niccol talks about it in interviews very straight-facedly as “the child of Gattaca“. And he talks about he made that movie 15 whole years ago and has been wanting to explore the theme of “the ultimate in genetic engineering” — turning off the aging gene.

News to me — the movie was about turning off the aging gene? I just thought that was a good excuse for casting only hot 25-year-olds.
