It’s much easier with an immersion blender that you just stick in the pot. If you don’t mind a few more lumps you could try a potato masher, I guess, just really put your arm into it. But why not get an immersion blender, think they’re only about $25-30 at Kmart or Walmart, maybe even cheaper. I’d be lost without mine, and my regular blender now collects dust except for smoothies.
