Alex and I, though we do sometimes cook with eggs and cheese, prefer to keep the blog as vegan as possible because we like the dietary restraint, the cooking limitations, the politics behind it and most of all because few people do vegan food interesting and comfortably well.
However, even in recipes we tag as vegan, we sometimes have used honey (http://www.urbanhonking.com/hotknives/2006/10/chinese_honey_cubes.html)
Besides the fact that it is garnered from a living creature, are there vegan readers out there that have a firm take on why they don’t consume honey? We’d like to make an informed decision on whether to consider it un-vegan as an ingredient or whether to continue to make an exception for the insect goo…
