Who Are These Knivez?

Alex Brown and Evan George are former line-cooks who used to use hot knives for more illict purposes, but decided to turn their lives around so that others may start eating properly and drinking better beer.

We live in Los Angeles. We don’t cook with meat. And we like sharpening our knives about as much as we like: bicycling, performing harsh noise music, gardening, slugging whiskey, and muckraking. We believe in cheap groceries, cooking with high alcohol content beer and free leisure. We hate weak sauces.

We video cook here. You can be our friend here.

Dont normally leave comments but just want to let you know I love you guys - became interested in the odd food blog to pass the time as love good food, wine with friends and as Im getting older deceided it was a good way to pass a saturday night which didnt involve churrning and kissing complete strangers at sweaty events (although much fun was had!). Found your blog and its a new addiction - god, Im such a geek. Really love your ideas and outlooks and your very pretty to look at too!

We don't have a set cooking class, but we can figure something out or refer to you to other vegan cooks who do that sort of thing for a living. Peas!

Camila: we're not raw foodists, but we've certainly been known to rock crudite and nut butters.

And thank you Michele for your chortle.

Groupies? We prefer soul mates.
