Corsica, c'est mac!

Bientôt une semaine que je suis revenue de Corse, l'île de beauté et je n'en ai pas vraiment parlé. En réalité, comme je suis allée là bas pour travailler je n'ai pas vraiment eu le temps de visiter quoique ce soit. Et en plus on était dans un centre de vacances duquel nous sommes sortis le vendredi à midi pour aller faire la parade avec les enfants dans la rue piétonne d'Ajaccio. Tout ce que je peux vous dire c'est que les maisons (les fenêtres notamment) ressemblent énormément à l'Italie. Que les montagnes et la mer sont magnifiques. Que j'adore l'accent des corses qui est je crois plus joli que celui du sud! Et que les gosses qu'on a rencontré étaient des vrais corses. A un moment ils nous ont dit :
"Bon bah, l'Italie c'est l'Italie, l'Angleterre c'est l'Angleterre, la France c'est la France et la corse bah c'est la Corse!" Attention nous on vient du continent c'est différent!

Mais ce que j'ai retenu en six jours ce sont deux ou trois expressions:
"C'est mac" : c'est génial, c'est super!
"C'est toc de mac" : c'est super top génial. Même méga hyper top. En fait si tu ajoutes toc à n'importe quel adjectif, ça lui double sa force! tu peux dire toc de p... là t'es vraiment hyper énervé, tu vois? Toc de chouette, t'es content, c'est presque orgasmique à la limite!
"C'est goff" : c'est naze, nul, pourri alors toc de goff... c'est l'enfer.
"Era Ora" Ah bah enfin, finalement, c'est aps trop tôt!
"Po po po po po" ils ponctuent leur discussion de ça. Ca peut être l'équivalent de "ouh la la" , "t'as raison, on ira jamais sur le continent"
Voilà alors amusez à employer ces expressions , elles sont classes!

One week later I finally decide to talk about "Corsica, l'île de beauté" (beautiful island) like it's called. Here you always hear that if you go in Corsica you fall in love with it. I can believe it but I stayed 6 days working with kids everyday in a vacation center. All I can say is that mountains and sea were beautiful from where I was and I want to go back, for sure! I saw one street in Ajaccio, the one where we played the show with the kids. So I can say that the houses and especially how the windows are built look the same than in Italy!
Kids were from there and at the end we were speaking with the same accent (I preferred it than the one in the south of France). We learned some expressions, I am sure it could work in english. In french it means nothing. they come from corsica language. Besides when I heard "c'est mac" the first time I thought they were laughing at me but they were saying it was great what we were doing with them!)

"C'est mac" : ("it's mac" sounds good in english!) means it's great, fun!
In french if you want to say to a friend that his boyfriend is great, you could say " Il est mac ton mec" which sounds so fun!
"C'est toc de mac" : ("It's toc of mac" sounds good also, no?)
When you add "toc", it's not great, it's super super great... like a chamallow, or I mean like the babies chamallows! In fact, "toc" makes the things two times more good or bad!
So you can say it's toc of fun, toc of checkers : it's double checkers!
"It's goff" : ("it's goff " it works in english!) Be careful, "goff" it's super bad, it's without interest, it's so bad that euh, difficult to explain. Oh, ok I am going to be mean but who care's? The time, we went to gravvy... it was goff!
"Era Ora" it means " finally, it's done" or "finally I finished doing something!" (don't forget to say a french "R" because otherwise I am sorry but it doens't work that well in english or it sounds like a french people trying to say something in english and you don't know what it is)
"po po po po po" There is a special pronounciation for that. It's like you meet a french caveman, not the same than an other caveman! But it can work in any situation. You can use it to say "that's enough, I "am" not agree with you!" or "oh la la, you are right, it's terrible!"

We had so much fun with these new words, I hope you will and to finish about corsicas subject like they say there:
"Italy is Italy, England is England, France is France and Corsica is Corsica!"
I felt a little bit like a foreigner there, strange but I don't care!
