Poodles in the Times
Julianne's post about Snoop Dogg's terrible rhymes landed her a mention in a NY Times article:
But one track on this album may overshadow all the others. "Can U Control Yo Hoe" is a wildly unfunny - and, worse, unfunky - track that has Snoop Dogg endorsing domestic violence. You have to to put your woman "in her place/Even if it's slapping her in her face," he rhymes, and there's no joke on the way, just more bad advice. If this is his attempt to start an Eminem-style controversy, here's hoping he's successful (the battle has already begun at one blog, urbanhonking.com/cowboyz); Geffen's complacent executives should brace themselves for the backlash.

AC Dickson Gets Some Portland Love
Andrew Dickson photographs well. There is he on the front page of the Portland Tribune, tall and proud, surveying his kingdom of eBay merchandise. A good story too.
Unfortunatley no mention of his amazing blog, AC Dickson: eBay Powerseller.

Where Are They?
Originally this blog was about the rising fame of K. Michael Merrill, Jona Bechtolt, and Zac Pennington. As time continues to march on, we are all taken in different directions, and the eventual rise to fame has become somewhat less documented and planned. This does not represent a failure, but rather a change in tactics that we will begin to address in the coming days.
For now we will touch briefly on the current goings-on of these three gentlemen. Mr. Merrill is still employed at Panic, Inc. and has focused his extra-curricular energies at UrbanHonking and is very excited about setting up AC Dickson with a blog. Mr. Bechtolt recently finished a european tour playing with Devendra Banhardt and is now on a US tour that will end in mid-December. Mr. Pennington also was recently on tour and now works at the Portland Mercury (PMUGYG interview here).
It is November, and the last update before this was in May, and we are all more famous than we were just months ago. As we go forward we will work to bring you not just news of ourselves and our slow rise to superstardom, but also stories from friends and loved ones about their own fame and fortune. Because this is not "Watch Us Get Famous", but the much more inclusive, "Let's Get Famous".
