went to the state fair, always a treat. ate my first hot dog in a long time.
fairs and fests make me take pix of people stuffing their face, claire here had been obsessing about cotton candy for days, she ate the whole thing though it made her sick. unfortunately my deep-fried twinkie was underdone and gross, also no one would ride the zipper with me. Apart from that it was a splendid trip with good friends, giant photo buttons, and lots of juicy overheard conversations. did you know I used to be in 4-h? no joke, I competed in our illinois county fair but never raised any livestock. more pix to follow.
