claire and I are on a mission this summer to jar, preserve, and pickle our way through the summer
the tomatoes are coming in gangbusters.
a whole month of sun is perfect and the little orange dudes I've taken to calling Hot Candy
we pickled some peppers last week, though they won't be ready for eating till october
this is one days' haul from the 4 plants in claire n mike's garden. I had to water it while housesitting so I feel like it's my garden. but it's not. just by proxy.
ah, the dreaded yet delightful Tomato Finger
and the winner of Most High Fashion Vegetable (Legume?) : immature scarlet runner beans! what beauts!

Also, what do pink beans taste like?

You guys gotta call me for the next jarring sess. I come home tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the scarlet runner beens so deep. Also love: you and claire.
