I was asked to be a judge for the "ultimate blogger" contest my internerd overlords are throwing. we would look over all the applicants (over 300!) and pick a pool of finalists.
the stack of apps
they expected it to be mostly among those in our net 'hood, the UrHo (mad props to my homies)
but suddenly there were people streaming in from all over the world. it was amazing.
we diligently read every blog, checked out every link.
the night grew long
finally we had our piles of no.s and yes-maybes.
then came the pontificating and the debating. we wanted it to be a good mix.
faces went up, faces came down.

suddenly it was half past two in the morning
and we had our pool of finalists
