ya, he killed 'em last night. "my little pony" has never sounded better and some of his new funky acid-housey tracks were super infectious. no "contact danse" this time. such a tease!
mayer played some super european techno/house/somethin that was just like this fun range of music i never hear in portland... smooth and abstract, yet melodic and club friendly. lots of stuff with anti-breakdowns, like a big wash of noise or synth instead of a drum breakdown or fill. smooth but kinda wacky. played 'personal jesus' amid a batch of shuffle tracks. he was workin it for 2.5 hrs!
