a lot of people hate o'hare, but I have known it since birth, and it gives me a warm feeling. so many trips and adventures that began and ended there. heck, in high school we used to go for fun and hang out for hours, watching people, sometimes toby would play his clarinet, or we would sit in one of the restaurants, making up people's backstories, back in the pre 9/11 era of easy access to everywheres. o'hare has video/pinball arcades, the crazy neon art united tunnel, and other choice secrets. like when the giant tv screen glitches out and you get some chaos art in the mix.

somehow i missed this ultimate photo until today. you and i have a special love for airports. i too love them. i like to watch them grow. i like to watch them change. sometimes i like that they become shopping malls, like the copenhagen airport. sometimes i like it when i disembark and the one lonely cinnabon/nathan's hotdog stand is all gated up in the desolate terminal and it's only 9:30 PM, like cleveland. i don't mind o'hare. but the weather situation that leads to it's many, many cancellations and late departures is sure a bummer. i guess that's what that neon tube is for. if only they sold tabs of acid too.

The United tunnel on acid sounds really fun!!

The tunnel and tab trip has been done - the ongoing repetition of "the moving walkway is now coming to an end, please look down" coming out of 4+ speakers at different intervals will always make me giggle now.
