Etichettando.com tells us how to find organic food and avoid GMO! But this is all UK-based, does this work in the US? The site says the PLU is used here. (Sarah, tell us the secrets of Whole Foods!)

I think we should make a trip to Safeway sometime. Like before or after you get off work... it's on the streetcar line, and we can bring Freddy too!

Wow, that's creepy. They have the SAME BANANA CODE in the UK as here!! How is that possible?
It's the same system here, too. Four numbers if it's conventional produce, and prefaced by a "9" if it's organic. But stores always tell you which is which anyway. i wouldn't know about the genetically modified produce, b/c we don't sell that shit.. ha ha. We should totally go to Safeway and check it out sometime.
