Not much to say about irony, but apparently negative hateration thrives up in here, from posters pissed their IP addresses got banned, and now they have extreme trouble posting as the four different people they were posting as before, all seconding and right-oning their argument that was actually just flame war bait.
Here, I'll throw you a bone:"Yeah man, great point. Barbara Dane, who made records of civil rights songs for Folkways, and has languished in almost total obscurity since folks heyday, toured with a black backing band back when that could almost get you killed, what Pete Seeger consorting sell-out! What a hypocritical pawn of the man. And what nerve! Selling records on her website! What nerve--making records at age 78!"

i don't think she wrote 'i hate the capitalist system', she only sung it on an old folkways record (someone else wrote it).
