I have been having some disturbing encounters in my life with people who just assume I am voting for Hillary, and when I say, “dude, I voted for and will continue to vote for Obama,” they express “surprise.” Like (a)how do they think they know so much about me just because I have a vagina? (b) the response, when I explain why I like Obama better, is always the same soundbyte HC herself uses (the whole “experience” trip), and I want to be like, “experience voting for the Iraq War? (c) how come voting for Barack Obama makes you a misogynist, but voting for clinton does NOT make you a racist? If the Clinton camp wants to put that card, why don’t they see it goes both ways?
This whole thing has been extremely disappointing. But I love this post and might repost it on my blog, in case any additional people might read it and be swayed by your awesome words (if that’s okay).
