la virgencita - for old time's sake

I was googling "Gwen Stefani" and "chola," looking for funny shit to put in Pete's myspace comments, when I rediscovered Gwenihana.blogspot.com. 2005... what a year. Also hit upon a beautiful and hilarious poem by Reyes Cardenas about Gwen's infamous ripping-La-Virgen's-image-in-half nightmare in the "Luxurious" video. He writes:

"La Gwen es tan pendeja
but I love the little bitch
Henry laughs"

I, too, am fascinated by how she can be so brazen and so unaware of it. Of course I am obsessed with The Sweet Escape, which is a great album about the super-cute new LAMB/BBC charm dangling from her RZRPHONE.
