I especially liked the comment you made on “why music scenes occur…?” whether it be because house music emerged from the downfall of disco, or whether the Seattle sound rose from the ashes of the economic decline in the late 80s. I love that stuff… I live for it!! I hope I can find the next big scene before Warner Bros. music does. If you are Brooklyn, I would love to talk/chat with you about this. I recently moved to NYC with the hope that I would start a smart, yet funny cable access TV show in Manhattan, hopefully revolving around indie music as well as taboo conversations around race, ethics, etc. I’m currently living in the UWS.
Anyway, e-mail me back, if you have the time. Looking forward to more stimulating conversation revolving around independent music scenes.
Cheers
D

And I suppose it is a little frustrating that KF NY has such terrible sound in relation to KF LA (but no strip mall). Just bad booking.
